Genadyne White PVA Foam is a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) dressing designed for use with Negative Pressure Wound Therapy in wounds requiring a denser and more controlled foam interface. Its hydrophilic composition and compact pore structure make it particularly suitable for managing tunnels, undermining, and wounds involving exposed avascular structures such as bone and tendons.
Manufactured from medical-grade polyvinyl alcohol, the foam offers high tensile strength, allowing clinicians to easily place and remove the dressing from wound tunnels and undermined areas without tearing or fragmentation. This structural integrity helps maintain dressing stability while supporting effective NPWT therapy.
The increased density of the foam helps limit granulation tissue in-growth into the dressing, supporting smoother and more comfortable dressing changes. Its hydrophilic properties also help maintain a balanced moist wound environment while reducing adherence to the wound bed.
Genadyne White PVA Foam is supplied pre-moistened with sterile water and can be easily shaped to conform to wound contours, allowing precise placement in complex wound geometries.
By combining controlled pore structure, high tensile strength, and gentle interaction with delicate tissues, Genadyne White PVA Foam supports effective NPWT therapy in challenging wound environments.
