More Than Just a Color
Genadyne Green Foam is an advanced polyurethane dressing designed to enhance the performance of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT). Its distinctive green color was intentionally selected to improve visual contrast with the wound bed, helping clinicians more easily differentiate between viable and non-viable tissue during assessment and dressing changes.
Manufactured from fully reticulated polyurethane with polyether resin, the foam provides excellent hydrolytic stability and maintains structural integrity in moist wound environments. Its open-cell architecture allows efficient distribution of negative pressure across the wound surface while facilitating the removal of exudate and infectious material.
The foam’s advanced duodecahedron cell structure forms a three-dimensional skeletal network that enhances filtration, improves fluid management, and increases tensile strength. This significantly reduces fraying and minimizes the risk of foam fragments remaining in the wound bed.
Genadyne Green Foam is also designed with non-adherent properties, enabling easier and less traumatic dressing removal while helping reduce patient discomfort during dressing changes.
By maintaining direct contact with the wound bed and ensuring uniform pressure distribution, Genadyne Green Foam supports edema reduction, improves tissue perfusion, and promotes the formation of healthy granulation tissue—key elements in effective wound healing.
